Are they mints? Are they coins? The concept was either answer and somewhere in-between. Mint was an upmarket bar in Martin Place in Sydney that was part of the same complex as Banq and Wine Banq. The concept started with trying to suspend ping pong balls in resin (too hard to produce) and ended with a pristine white sign with glowing white type and ping pong balls. The letterhead-cum-menu template was an embossed synthetic plastic paper that could be fed through a laser printer with a delicious tactile quality.
